Line and Feelings Sorting Activity - Upper Elementary
A fun sorting activity for students to explore interpretation of line in visual art.
Use this teaching resource when studying the elements of visual art and how artists communicate meaning. Students investigate the idea that line can express a particular mood, emotion, or atmosphere. The activity has been designed to provoke discussion about interpretation.
Print, cut, and laminate a set of Feelings Cards and a set of Line Cards for each group. Allow the students to sort the cards by matching illustrations of lines with feelings.
Further instructions are included with the resource.
