My Trusted Web + Feeling Unsafe

Use this flipbook when exploring the concepts of safe and unsafe environments, feelings, emotions and when/who to ask for help in your Social and Emotional lessons. This flipbook includes the following pages:

  • A safe and trusted adult is someone who?
  • List actions or words that are safe and unsafe.
  • The different emotions you feel when you are feeling unsafe or uncomfortable.
  • Characteristics of a trusted adult.
  • My trusted web diagram.
  • Identifying feeling unsafe, finding a trusted adult and what words you use to ask for help.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding 

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your Social-Emotional Learning lessons.

In addition to individual student work time, use this flipbook to enhance learning through small groups or whole class lessons.

If you have a mixture of above and below-level learners, check out these suggestions for keeping students on track with the concepts:

🆘 Support Struggling Students

If there are students that require support, have them complete the activity pages with a partner or the guidance of a teacher.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

Encourage students who need an added challenge to role-playing asking a trusted adult for assistance.

How to Assemble Your Safe Relationship Flipbook 

  • Print each student a copy of all pages.
  • Students cut out the flipbook pages along the dotted lines.
  • Stack the individual pages in order, beginning with the largest on the bottom and ending with the smallest on top. Align all pages along the top edge.
  • Staple the flipbook together at the top.
