Safety Plan Template for Young Children

Use this template when teaching young children about personal space, safe and unsafe environments, their trusted adult circles and their general well-being. This safety plan template will have your students thinking about the following points:

  • Things I need to feel safe are…
  • Trusted adults I can tell are…
  • My body tells me I feel unsafe by…
  • Activities that help me feel safe are…
  • Coping skills that help me feel safe are…

These sentence starters are a great way to open up discussion with your class about this information and discuss how each response will differ for each student.
