Sorting Odd and Even Numbers (2-digit – 4-digit Numbers)

A simple set of cut-and-paste worksheets that will have your students sorting odd and even numbers. Teaching students odd and even numbers is fundamental in early mathematics education. To make learning engaging and interactive, cut-and-paste worksheets like this can be a valuable resource for teachers and students. These worksheets provide a hands-on approach to sorting odd and even numbers, allowing students to understand the concept visually.

These worksheets can also be used as a formative assessment tool to gauge students understanding. Three worksheets are available: one for 2-digit numbers, another for 3-digit numbers, and the final has 4-digit numbers.

How to Use This Cut-and-Paste Worksheet Set

  1. Distribute the worksheet, scissors, and glue for each student.
  2. Explain to the students that they will encounter a mix of odd and even numbers. Their task is to group these numbers accordingly.
  3. Encourage the students to cut out each number, examine it, and place it in the appropriate category on the worksheet.
  4. Discuss the results as a class and address any questions or concerns.

As an alternative to a worksheet, you may like to print these worksheets on colored paper – pre-cut and laminate the table and the individual numbers, and use them as a sorting activity time and time again.
