Print Your Own President’s Day Puppets!

These finger puppets are a great way to engage your students around Presidents’ Day!

Ways to use this resource:

  • Print on cardstock and place into a writing center. Encourage students to use the puppets for creative and dramatic play. Then, as a class, discuss some facts about each president represented on the coins. Students can then practice their handwriting skills by filling out the writing templates.
  • Provide each student with a set of finger puppets. Blend social studies and math by playing a class game! Ask your students to hold up various puppets by saying, “Show me a nickel!” or “Show me George Washington!” Students can even practice identifying coins and their values by finding partners in the room who are holding similar puppets.
  • Provide each student with a set of finger puppets. Instruct them to choose a puppet and hide it behind their back. When you are ready, have the students get into groups with students holding the same puppet. Then, students can practice skip counting by twos, fives, or tens to determine the value of their group.

Use the drop-down menu to choose between the color and low-color versions.
