Viking Terms Classroom Vocabulary Display

When English language learners struggle with reading comprehension, it can often be attributed to their difficulty with understanding vocabulary. Studies report that low academic language skills are associated with low academic performance. For this reason, it is critical that students receive direct vocabulary instruction focusing on the vocabulary associated with a particular unit of study.

Enter the Classroom Word Wall….

Help your students become familiar with the terms related to your unit on some of the earliest explorers, the Vikings! Print out these Viking Word Wall Vocabulary cards and cut them along the line. Stick them up around your room to immerse your students in the content-specific vocabulary.

A blank sheet is provided at the end for any extra words your students may want to add.
