    Nice overview on processing disorders. One very important sensory break is cold packs or frozen ice blocks. Such a quick and easy way for students “cool their engines”. But I would never use Velcro, the constant ripping is a massive distraction for other students.

I have found velcro to be useful for students seeking sensory input when attached to the underside of their desk. Students have found it helpful to run their fingers over the surface.
