Teach the Adjective Prepositional Phrase to Your Students

Prepositional phrases can work in a number of different ways in sentences. One of these is adjectivally, which means that the phrase gives more detail about a noun.

This adjective prepositional phrase worksheet pack has been designed by the Teach Starter team to support your students in identifying when prepositional phrases are being used as adjectives. With five unique worksheets, students will explore adjective prepositional phrases through a variety of activities designed to make learning fun and engaging.

Some of the activities you will find in this adjective prepositional phrase worksheet pack include:

  1. Prepositional Phrase Scramble – Students unscramble the words to create a sentence containing a prepositional phrase.
  2. Fill in the Blank – Students the adjective prepositional phrases from the word bank to complete the sentences.
  3. Prepositional Phrase Maze – Students follow the path of prepositional phrases to make their way through the maze.
  4. Silly Sentences – Students use the prepositional phrases provided to create funny sentences based on a noun of their choice.
  5. Cloze Passage – Students complete the story by adding adjective prepositional phrases into the cloze passage.

These adjective prepositional phrase worksheets download as an easy-print PDF or an editable Google Slides file. Answers are included in both file options.
