## Review Graphing and Coordinate Plane Vocabulary

Are your students beginning their coordinate planes and graphing unit? If so, you may have seen that there are a lot of vocabulary words they need to know! Not only do students need to know the words, but they also have to be able to define what each word means as well as identify it in a mathematical sense. This may be by a maths symbol, image, or number sentence used to represent each term.

With this resource, you will be able to download 18 vocabulary cards with a definition and picture on each onw. The words included in this resource are: formula, rule, evaluate, coordinate plane, x-axis, y-axis, ordered pair, graph, plot, point, line, x-coordinate, y-coordinate, origin, variable, quadrant, coordinate, and intersect.

## How to Use Maths Vocabulary Cards

There are many different ways you can use vocabulary cards in your classroom. These cards can make a beautiful addition to a bulletin board or maths focus wall. With each unit, you can change out the associated vocabulary terms.

Vocabulary games are also a must in the classroom! Encourage students to engage in activities such as “Quiz, Quiz, Trade” or a guessing game where students draw a picture of the vocabulary word for others to guess.
