## Sweet Maths Practise with Watermelon Seed Counting and Comparing

This set of super cute task cards has been created by an experienced teach to help students practise counting and comparing different quantities in a fun and interactive way. Each card features a piece of watermelon with a different number of seeds, challenging students to count and compare the amounts. This hands-on activity will keep students interested and motivated to learn, a win-win in teachers eyes!

## Deliciously Fun Ways to Use These Counting Task Cards

The beauty of task cards as a resource is that they are really versatile in terms of what you can use them for in the classroom. Here are some suggestions for using these counting task cards:

• Whole Class Activity – provide students with show me boards and project one task cards onto the white board. Have students count and then write the number on their white boards.
• Active Activity – For task cards that have students comparing seed numbers have them go the either the left or right hand side of the classroom for the watermelon piece that has the most.
• Use the task cards in small groups during maths groups.
• Use as an independent activity for students.
• Place the task cards around the room and have students walk around and complete the answers on the answer sheet.
• Maths warm up – use the task cards for a quick maths warm up activity before a maths lesson.

Use the dropdown menu to choose between the editable Google Slide version or the easy to print PDF.
