Use this set of 30 literature task cards to encourage your students to engage with and respond to literature. The tasks have been specifically designed to be used in conjunction with any literary text.
There are five literature tasks for each of the following categories:
NSW Curriculum alignment
Thinks imaginatively, creatively and interpretively about information, ideas and texts when responding to and composing texts
Responds to and composes a range of texts that express viewpoints of the world similar to and different from their own
Identifies and considers how different viewpoints of their world, including aspects of culture, are represented in texts
Victorian Curriculum alignment
Analyse and evaluate similarities and differences in texts on similar topics, themes or plots
Discuss how language is used to describe the settings in texts, and explore how the settings shape the events and influence the mood of the narrative
