Cut and Paste Fractions Worksheet

Visualising fractions is a great way to represent an abstract concept in a concrete way. With this worksheet, students will match visual representations to written fractions.

Fractions included in the resource are:

  • halves
  • thirds
  • quarters
  • fifths
  • sixths
  • eights
  • tenths.

The different visual representations include number lines, collections of objects and shaded shapes.

An answer key is included with your download to make marking fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding  

In addition to individual student work time, use this worksheet as a:

Extend students by tasking them with creating additional representations for each fraction. For example, if the representation of the fraction is a shaded shape, the students will create a number line or collection of objects to represent the fraction.
