Rounding Decimals Game

After establishing an understanding of rounding whole numbers, students work to combine their understanding of decimals and rounding. With this maths skill, students work to round decimals to the nearest tenth or hundredth place. Teach Starter has created a printable board game that will challenge your students to improve their rounding skills in a fun and competitive way! This board game includes standard practise problems, word problems and yes/no questions to solve.

This printable resource comes with the following:

• instructions page
• game board
• 36 question cards
• game pieces and a printable number cube

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your maths lessons.

In addition to individual student work time, use this board game to enhance learning through guided math groups, whole class lessons, or remote learning assignments.

If you have a mixture of above and below-level learners, check out these suggestions for keeping students on track with the concepts:

🆘 Support Struggling Students

For students needing additional support, provide them with a reference sheet reminding them of the rounding rules.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

If students need an additional challenge, encourage them to think of additional numbers that round to the same answer on their cards.

Easily Prepare This Resource for Your Students

Print the game board and game pieces on thick card for added durability and longevity. Place all pieces in a folder or large envelope for easy access.
