Save the Planet! Kids Printable Book for Earth Day

The school year is flying by, so let’s get you prepped for all those spring holidays in your classroom! We have created a fun, engaging, sustainable living reader for early years students. Use this mini-book for an interactive read-aloud in the weeks surrounding the Earth Day or Arbor Day holidays.

This Help the Earth mini-book provides a fun, interactive way to help young students understand the three R’s of sustainability – reduce, reuse, and recycle. The set contains a printable mini-book for students to read, complete, and colour.

Through this activity, students will increase their vocabulary and build skills in writing sentences with academic language.

Alternative Uses For a Saving Earth Printable

We created this resource for circle time and reading lessons. In addition, we suggest these alternative uses to reinforce reading skills and new vocabulary words with your small group and full-class lessons:

  • Print on thick card and assemble a small set of books for a reading group activity where students read the books to each other as partners.
  • Complete a booklet, print a copy for each student, and send them home as mini-readers to share with their family.
