The Curious Crusader – Story and Task Cards

PDF | 6 pages|Grades: 4 - 6

A narrative about a little boy and a curious creature, with accompanying activities.

Nothing exciting ever happened to Sam. It seemed that he was destined to live a life of monotony – each normal, completely forgettable day following the next.

But then came Halloween.

This narrative text tells the tale of a young boy, Sam, who encounters a very curious creature while trick-or-treating with his friends.

Share the story as a class, or allow students to read the text independently.

A set of 12 accompanying literature response activities are also provided in this teaching resource.
