Narrative Text and Comprehension Task Cards - The Curious Crusader
A narrative about a little boy and a curious creature with accompanying comprehension task cards.
Nothing exciting ever happened to Sam. It seemed that he was destined to live a life of monotony – each normal, completely forgettable day following the next.
But then came Halloween.
This narrative text tells the tale of a young boy, Sam, who encounters a very curious creature while trick-or-treating with his friends.
Share the story as a class, or allow students to read the text independently. Then, have students complete a series of questions about the text presented on task cards. These can be done independently as a reading center activity or completed with a partner in a scoot or gallery style activity.
Use the drop-down menu to choose between the color or black and white version.
