Alleviate Stress With Mindfulness Drawing Activities

The lives of today’s students are jam-packed with action and activity. For many of our students, the sheer amount of “things” happening in their lives can lead to a heightened sense of stress and anxiety. For this reason, there is great value in teaching your students mindfulness.

Drawing is a tried-and-true mindfulness technique. It enables us to be calm and fully present in the moment by putting pencil to paper. This year, we’re excited to help you promote mindfulness and alleviate classroom stress with Mindfulness Drawing Activities!

You can incorporate these Mindfulness Drawing Activities into your daily or weekly schedule to promote mindfulness in your classroom. They also work well as an indoor recess activity or short brain breaks in the middle of the day.

Download Your Meditation Drawing Task Cards

Display one of the Meditation Drawing Task Cards in the deck on your whiteboard or screen and set a timer. You might also like to play soothing music in the background so your students can unwind and find their center.
