Teach Starter Publishing
PowerPoint, PDF | 44 pages | Grades: 5 - 6

A 44-slide editable PowerPoint template exploring the famous artists and signature artistic techniques of the Cubist movement.

The Cubism art movement began around 1907. It challenged the art conventions of the time. Cubist artists used new techniques to depict three dimensions on a two-dimensional canvas. They aimed to show many viewpoints of a person or object at once.

Use this teaching presentation to introduce your students to the artistic movement known as Cubism. The presentation explains key techniques used by Cubist artists, such as broken perspective. It also explores the works of some of the period’s most famous artists, including Pablo Picasso, George Braque, and Juan Gris.

Images of Cubist artworks are included in the presentation.
