Materials and Instructions for Handprint Art

1. Gather all your materials, including the templates, washable paint, brushes or sponges, markers, and optional decorations like glitter, cotton balls, or googly eyes.
2. Choose a Christmas design from the templates, such as a reindeer, wreath, Santa, etc.
3. Apply a thin layer of paint to the student’s palm and fingers using a brush or sponge.
4. Press the painted hand carefully onto the template to make a clear handprint, then lift the hand straight up.
5. Once dry, add details to the design by drawing or decorating features like eyes, nose, mouth, hats, or ornaments.
6. Write the student’s name and the year on your artwork to create a keepsake.
7. Display the finished crafts on a bulletin board, turn them into cards, or send them home to share with families.
