Fun and Festive Beginning Sounds Game

This beginning sounds game features 30 Christmas-themed objects, each paired with a card showing its starting letter. Students will:

  • Match pictures to the corresponding beginning sounds.
  • Build vocabulary and phonemic awareness.
  • Strengthen early reading skills while enjoying a holiday-themed activity.

To play this beginning sounds game, lay all cards face-down. Students take turns flipping two cards at a time to find matches. Correct matches are set aside, and the player with the most pairs at the end wins. This hands-on game is perfect for literacy centers, small-group work, or morning rotations.
