Work as a team to create a paper chain to serve as a reminder of the effects of cooperation.

Is it Cooperation? Character Education Crafts!

Our young students face various obstacles daily, and sometimes it can be difficult to navigate them smoothly. These challenges may appear small, such as waiting in a long line for lunch or more complex, like dealing with arguments between friends. Our students must develop the skills necessary to handle these situations. With patience, perseverance, and a positive attitude, our students will be prepared to conquer anything that comes their way.

Show the Effects of Cooperation in the Classroom

This engaging activity is designed to help students understand the effect of cooperation when attempting to complete a task. This set of printable paper chain bands is the perfect way to show your students what their collective effort is worth.

To use,

  1. Cut apart enough strips for each student to have their own. Repeat strips if needed.
  2. Students complete their sentence stem and then color their strips. Share and discuss responses with the class.
  3. Work together to connect the strips into a paper chain using tape or glue.
  4. Display your collaboration paper chain in the classroom as a visual reminder about working together!
