A hands-on activity for students to build CVC words.
Use this teaching resource in the primary grades to help students identify and learn CVC words.
This resource includes:
- a train-inspired CVC word mat
- letters to create CVC words
- image cards to match the words.
Have students choose an image and work out what the word is. Then, they sort through the provided letter tiles to create the CVC word. For an extension – have your students write the word in their writing journals.
