Use our drawing angles worksheet set to give students differentiated practice in classifying and constructing angles.
Scaffold Learning With Our Drawing Angles Worksheet Set
Our Drawing Angles Worksheet Set is a thoughtfully designed, three-worksheet resource that helps students develop accuracy and confidence in drawing angles with a protractor. This scaffolded set moves from supported practice to independent application, making it easy to differentiate learning. Students will gain hands-on experience using a protractor while reinforcing their understanding of angle types and degree measures.
This drawing angles worksheet set has two levels of difficulty:
- Worksheet 1 (Easy Version): Students draw angles directly onto a protractor overlay, helping them visualize correct placement and size. Each problem includes a specific angle measure and space to label the angle type (acute, right, or obtuse), offering guided support.
- Worksheets 2 and 3 (More Challenging Versions): Students use their own protractors to draw angles based on given degree measures. Each problem includes lines for the angle type as well.
Using This Drawing Angles Activity in the Classroom
This drawing angles activity has many classroom uses. Here are a few ideas to get you started!
Math Stations: Provide copies of the three worksheets in your math stations, along with pencils and protractors. Students can select the version that is right for their level of understanding.
Partner Work: Ask students to complete these worksheets in pairs. One student constructs the angle, and the other partner checks their work with a protractor. Then, students switch roles.
Exit Ticket: Print this drawing angles worksheet set and cut the problems apart, giving each student one or two to complete to check their understanding after a lesson about drawing angles.
