🎃 Fun Fall Activities for Elementary Students

With this grammar sorting activity, students will independently identify the fall nouns, verbs, and adjectives and sort each pumpkin into its correct part of speech category. This word sort activity contains the following

  • 36 Noun, Verb, and Adjective Sorting Cards
  • Sorting Mats with Definitions of Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives
  • Sorting Mats without Definitions of Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives

When they’re done, your students will better understand the three parts of speech

Students who need a challenge can think of synonyms for each word and write them on the worksheet or use words to write sentences. 

Support students who need more help by referring them to a part of speech anchor chart or poster.
