Printable Friendship Book

Understanding how to make friends is a skill that comes naturally to some children but is a bit more challenging for others. Skills such as taking turns, being honest, and sharing with others are skills that children need to learn to form relationships with their peers.

Teach Starter has created a printable mini-book for your primary students to use as they learn how to be a good friend. This resource includes 12 mini-pages where students will learn about different ways they can show others they care and want to be their friend.

When your students are using this mini-book, they should follow along and read/listen to each direction to complete the activities.

The purpose of this resource is to help students learn what makes a good friend. The mini-book engages students in a variety of activities that relate to each value.

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your social emotional learning lessons. 

In addition to individual student work time, use this mini-book to enhance learning through small groups or whole class lessons.

If you have a mixture of above and below-level learners, check out these suggestions for keeping students on track with the concepts: 

🆘 Support Struggling Students

Allow the student to work on the pages with a peer or work along with the teacher modeling on the board.For writing pages, allow the student to copy a sentence starter and copy the sentence that they need to trace onto the writing line.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

Allow students to work on it more independently. Allow the student to write out their own sentence on pages where they need to trace a sentence and write a second one on the writing line.
