A set of coloring activities to develop letter recognition and phonemic awareness.
Use this teaching resource with your students to practice beginning sounds.
Before attempting each worksheet, ensure your students are familiar with the name of the letter, as well as the sound (or sounds) that it makes.
Students color the pictures on the worksheet that starts with that particular sound.
Note: The Letter x worksheet focuses on the end sound, rather than the initial sound.
These worksheets are great to use as a reading center activity.
We also have a complete set using uppercase letters.
