Literary Element Task Cards - Primary Grades
A set of 12 task cards for primary students to use after reading a picture book.
Use these classroom task cards to help students recognize and analyze literary elements found in a literary text.
The set contains 12 cards, in five color-coded categories, exploring:
- setting
- character
- plot
- theme
- illustrations.
You may like to print the cards on cardstock and store them on a binder ring for your students to choose from. These activities can be completed in a reading center after a read aloud or listening to a book on tape, or as a whole class activity.
Use the drop-down menu to choose between the color or black and white PDF version or the google slide version.
