My Dream Home Plan

Free | 2 pages|Grades: 6 - 7

A template to use when students are designing their dream home.

Use these planning sheets to encourage your students to use their imagination and plan their dream home.

Students will complete an elevation (front view) of their home. Then, they will draw a floor plan to scale. One square on the grid will represent 3 square feet. Students need to label each room in their home. If their home is multiple stories, they will need to complete a grid for each floor.

This make a great math center activity, fast finisher activity, or math project to complete a unit on ratios and proportions.

You the drop-down menu to choose between letter-size or tabloid-size paper.

Resource Updates

  • Split it into two pages to provide more room to the student. We have also changed the scale to feet instead of meters.
