New Year STEM Projects for Kids–  New Year Party Planning for Kids

This New Year Party Project is fun for your students to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

Students will brainstorm, plan, budget, and develop materials for planning a classroom New Year’s Eve party to celebrate the beginning of a brand new year. The project provides opportunities for students to 

  • Brainstorm ideas for staging a classroom party.
  • Choose food, activities, and favors.
  • Find your total spending amount.
  • Complete the invitations.
  • Reflect on the party planning process.

Why is STEM Important in Early Childhood Education?
