The sun is a star. It is the largest objectin our solar system. Through theprocess of nuclear fusion, the sunproduces light energy and heat energy.This energy travels outwards from the
surface of the sun toward Earth.

This Earth and Spaceexperiment allows students to investigate if the sun produces heat.

Students follow the scientific method to conduct the experiment in small groups, then complete the worksheet provided.
