Sentence Saga Literacy Activity (Silly Sentences)

PDF, Word | 18 pages|Grades: 1 - 5

A set of words and punctuation marks that are combined to make sentences.

Students will combine different words to make as many sentences (simple or compound depending on the level of your students) as they can, writing them in their journal using the correct capitalization and punctuation throughout. We have included black cards at the end so that you and your students can add your own words.

If you would like a more focused activity, why not use the activity cards included with this resource. They include:

  • Story: Make a short story using the sentence saga cards. Remember to use correct punctuation.
  • Alliteration: Make sentences with alliteration using the sentence saga cards
  • Rhyme: Make sentences that rhyme using the sentence saga cards.
  • You: Make a sentence about yourself using the sentence saga cards.

This resource makes a great writing center activity.
