Spot the Extra Information Worksheets

Support young readers as they learn how pictures add meaning to a text with this Spot the Extra Information worksheet set. Students compare a simple sentence with a matching picture and describe the extra information the illustration provides. This helps early learners understand how authors and illustrators work together to build meaning, a key skill in visual literacy and comprehension.

Each page includes a short sentence such as “The dog sits in the backyard” or “Mia looks out her window”, paired with a picture that reveals additional details.
