Use these word wall cards as part of a numeracy display or as a warm-up activity when learning 2D shapes
2D shapes include:
- circle
- oval
- triangle
- square
- rectangle
- rhombus
- trapezium
- pentagon
- hexagon
- octagon
- star
- heart
- kite
- parallelogram.
The word wall cards could also be used in a numeracy group activity where students have to sort the shapes into groups of the same number of sides or find things to represent the shapes around the classroom.
