Estimate the Measurement –  An Interactive Maths Game

Get ready to have fun and engage your students with an end-of-unit review activity perfect for upper-year students! This year, you can toss those old measurement handouts and help your students review their knowledge of the many different measurement units and how to estimate mass, length, capacity, volume, temperature, and more. We’ve put together a fun interactive activity to give your students a massive amount of review while having fun in the classroom!

This interactive maths game invites students to view a series of objects and determine which unit should be used. It also requires them to give an educated estimate of that object’s measurement. It contains a variety of measurement skills, including the following:

  • Estimating Mass
  • Estimating Volume
  • Estimating Height
  • Estimating Distance
  • Estimating Capacity
  • Estimating Temperature

To play, students are shown an image and maths question and must select the best estimate from the three choices. Correct answers advance the student to the next question, while incorrect answers require students to try again.

Download, Project, and Play Your Measurement Game Today!

This resource can be used as a whole group activity, allowing for a read-aloud of the questions. However, if you have advanced students, challenge them to complete the task independently.

This downloadable teaching resource is available as an Interactive Google Slides Activity. To get your new resource, click the download button. You will be prompted to make your own copy. From there, project the slides on your screen and start playing today!
