Printable Books About Plants! Perfect for Small Groups!

We know how difficult it is to fit all of your content into a single day. It often seems like Science is the first subject to get pushed aside when lessons run long or the schedule changes, and we’d like to help you make up for that lost time by providing you with new cross-curricular resources to help you blend Science into Reading!

This resource download is designed to help you fit science into your reading block by providing your students with levelled, differentiated texts surrounding your Science standards related to plants. There are three versions of this reader, described below.

  • Level 1 Reader – This reader is for our youngest readers. It features simple text, short sentences, tracking dots, and a brief assessment at the end of the booklet. Students will learn about the different parts of a plant and how plants use them.
  • Level 2 Reader – This reader is perfect for growing readers who are just entering into longer sentences, need more decoding, and focus on comprehension. This reader delves into plant parts and what they do for the plant. It also features a True/False assessment at the end.
  • Level 3 Reader – This reader is aligned for your stronger readers and features quite a bit of academic vocabulary, lots of new words to decode, and a focus on comprehension and written responses.
