A printable booklet with pictures and sight words for students to create their own personal dictionary.

Use this teaching resource in the classroom to assist students with their knowledge of:

  • the alphabet
  • sight words
  • spelling
  • reading
  • writing.

Print, cut and staple a dictionary booklet for each student in your class. Encourage the students to refer to their dictionary when reading and writing. Ask the students to use their dictionaries to record new words.

This printable personal dictionary includes:

  • a picture of a common noun for each letter of the alphabet
  • a word for each noun to match the picture
  • top 100 sight words
  • lines for students to record their own words
  • a blank page for illustrations or additional words.

This dictionary is great to use with younger students, students with special educational needs and students with English as a second language.

Is there a 2-letters per page version, that would end up being A5 size?

Hi Suzanne, Thanks for getting in touch with us! We have a 4 letters per page version and a 1 letter per page version... but not a 2! Might I suggest that you make a new resource request? You can do so on our Requests page. https://www.teachstarter.com/request-a-resource/ Your fellow Teach Starter members can then vote for it and, if it proves popular, we would love to make it for you!
