Understanding units of time helps students describe how long events take and recognise how time is organised. This teaching presentation introduces hours, days, weeks, months and years through relatable, real-world examples that help students connect time concepts to everyday life.

Students explore the days of the week, months of the year and the varying number of days in each month while developing their understanding of duration of events. The slides also include opportunities to practise selecting appropriate units of time for common activities and events.
