Making predictions allow students to become actively involved in the reading process. They are able to envision what will come next in the text, based on their prior knowledge. Use the Reading Comprehension Strategy PowerPoint – Making Predictions to introduce your students to the concept and then work through the examples and the guided, whole-class activity to solidify the concept.
