Take a Peek at Animals in Winter With Us!

Winter, a magical season where nature undergoes a chilly transformation, becomes an exciting classroom theme as students explore the survival strategies of animals in the Arctic tundra. From hibernation to migration, the winter habits of creatures, both big and small, show off a fascinating world of animal adaptations. Turn your classroom into a winter wildlife wonderland and engage your young scholars with an exploration of animals in winter!

Cut and Assemble Your Animals in Winter Mini-book!

This year, start your students off learning about animals in winter by creating fun little mini-books to help them learn all about animals and how they adapt to the frigid temperatures. This two-page printable animal book is perfect for your second and third-grade students to use when learning about animal adaptations to the environment, including hibernation and migration.

This mini-book template is designed to be printed single-sided. Students will take the two sheets given and cut them apart so they have eight individual pages. They can then order them in any order they choose, ending with the two comprehension pages as the last two pages. From there, students can read and learn about animals and then answer a variety of reading comprehension and vocabulary questions about the content.
