Preparing and Playing Our Doubling Facts Game
With a little preparation, your students will be playing our doubling facts game in no time! Here’s how:
Prepare:
- Download the adding doubles resource in the format of your choice.
- Print the game board, cards, answer key, game pieces, and die. Consider printing on cardstock for longevity.
- Cut apart the cards and game pieces, and assemble the die.
Play:
- Students place game tokens at “Start” and the cards on the Draw Pile space. Player 1 rolls the number cube and moves forward the same number of spaces.
- The player follows the directions on the space.
- If the player lands on a picture, they will choose a card and solve the equation. A correct answer allows them to stay on the space, while an incorrect answer will send them back to their previous space.
- Players take turns. The player who gets to the “Finish” space first, wins!
