A fun game to help students practice the doubles plus one addition strategy.
Use this teaching resource in the classroom when teaching near doubles.
In pairs, students roll a die, double their number, then add one. Students cross off their answers on the grid worksheet provided. The first student to cross off all of their numbers wins!
Slip the sheet in a dry erase sleeve and have students use a dry erase marker when playing, then wipe clean. This is a great math center activity when practicing addition strategies.
