Cut, Paste, and Build a Shapes Fire Truck Craft

With this printable shapes firetruck craft template, each learner will use the printable pieces to color, cut, paste, and assemble a shape fire truck from circles, rectangles, squares, and trapezoids. As kids build, they’ll strengthen fine motor skills, practice identifying shapes, and create a shape fire truck that’s perfect for classroom displays or take-home projects.

Materials Needed to Create Your Shape Fire Truck

  • Printable Shape Firetruck Craft template (1 per student)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Construction Paper
  • Cardstock (optional)
  • Crayons (red, yellow, blue, black, gray)

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Fire Truck Shape Craft

  1. Have students color and cut out all of the shapes carefully.
  2. Place the two body pieces of the truck onto construction paper and glue in place.
  3. Overlay the long strip of trim, lining it up with the bottom edge of the two body pieces.
  4. Glue windows and ladder onto the body.
  5. Glue wheels, siren, and headlight/taillight pieces in place.
