Teach the Order of Adjectives with a Digital Quiz
Do you know that adjectives must be placed in a certain order? It’s called the “Royal Order of Adjectives,” and it can be quite confusing for young students to master!
Teach Starter has created this fun interactive activity to help your students become more familiar with the Royal Order of Adjectives. The resource contains 24 questions, each with three possible answers. Students must choose the option that correctly follows the conventional adjective order. For example:
What is the correct order for these adjectives?
- Three scary old houses
- Scary old three houses
- Old three scary houses
The correct answer, of course, is option a!
If students choose the incorrect answer, they are directed to a slide that encourages them to go back and try again. If they choose the correct answer, they progress to the next question.
This resource downloads as a Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides file. Simply project the resource onto your screen and work through the slides as a class for a paperless review of the order of adjectives.
