Playing This Easter Matching Game in the Classroom

Playing this Easter Matching game is simple and fun for students of all ages!

How to Play:

To begin, print, cut, and laminate the Easter cards for durability. Then, mix them up and place them face down in a grid. Students take turns flipping over two cards at a time to find matching pairs. When a student finds a match, they read the word aloud and keep the pair. The player with the most matches at the end wins! They’re going to love it!

You can adapt the activity for your learners:

• For preschool and kindergarten students, focus on matching pictures only.
• For emerging readers, encourage them to read and say each word aloud as they flip through the pages.
• For more advanced learners, try a timed version or have them use the vocabulary words in a sentence once

For an extra bit of fun, we recommend storing the game cards in a fun basket somewhere in your classroom during the season so kids have easy access.
