Word Whizz - Word Building Activity
A word building activity to practice spelling and vocabulary skills.
This fun word building activity is a great way to practice spelling and vocabulary skills in the classroom!
The aim of the game is for students to build as many words as they can using 36 letters on a board. The letters must be adjoining (adjacent or diagonal) in a chain.
Print out the activity on cardstock for added durability. Cut out the letters and store them in a resealable bag. Slip the answer sheet inside of a dry erase pocket so that students can write their words using a dry-erase marker and then wipe clean when they are done.
This activity makes a perfect reading center activity.
This resource includes a set of blank letter tiles and blank activity cards for you to customize to fit the needs of your students.
