Use these compound and simple sentence task cards to help your students confidently identify the difference between these two types of sentences.
This engaging, hands‑on resource is perfect for building sentence structure knowledge in a fun and interactive way. Each task card features a sentence, and students must decide whether it is a simple sentence or a compound sentence. Students read the sentence on each card and show their answer by:
- placing a peg or counter on “Simple” or “Compound”, or
- circling the correct option using a whiteboard marker (once cards are laminated).
