Use this rhyming game for kids flexibly across your classroom—from reading centers to whole-group activities. Try these creative extensions:

  • Odd Man Out – Set up stations with three cards—two that rhyme, one that doesn’t. Students rotate in pairs to identify the odd one out. Shuffle cards between rounds!
  • Rhyming Words Human Chain – Give each student a domino and challenge them to find their rhyming matches to form a class-wide chain. For extra fun, do it silently!
  • Upcycle into Playing Cards – Cut the dominoes in half to create a deck! Use them for games like Go Fish, Snap, or Match It to keep rhyming practice fresh.
