Looking for 3-Digit Subtraction Worksheets? We’ve Got Those!

There are multiple strategies for teaching subtraction to students. Since each individual learns differently, it’s essential to introduce them to various techniques and encourage regular practise to discover which method suits them best.

In this activity, students will learn how to subtract using a place value chart and place value disks as visual aids. Drawing and marking out these disks allows them to model and solve subtraction problems involving 3-digit numbers.

This two-sided printable subtraction worksheet includes an example problem and eleven more opportunities to practise this skill. Students will use a place value chart and disks to solve each problem. An answer key is included.
