Dictionary Word Hunt - Worksheet

PDF | 2 pages|Grades: 3 - 6

A fun word hunt to practice dictionary skills.

Use this worksheet to practice dictionary skills with your students.

Give each student a worksheet and a dictionary. Students must locate specific words, guide words, definitions, parts of speech, pronunciation, and syllabication in their dictionary.

Use this as a partner activity in reading centers or as an individual activity after a lesson.

This resource can also be cut apart into separate questions and used as filler-activity at the end of class. Simply place a question underneath your document camera and have students compete to be the first to find the answer.

An answer key has not been included with this resource due to the varying nature of the questions.

This resource was created by Kelli Goffredi, a teacher from Texas and a Teach Starter Collaborator.
