Features of Animals Bingo Game for K–2

Turn science observation into a fun, interactive game! This Features of Animals Bingo Game is designed to help your young learners explore and identify the external features of animals while practicing careful observation skills using magnifying glasses.

Perfect for Kindergarten through Grade 2, this Features of Animals Bingo game encourages students to observe animals up close and describe what they see, just like real scientists.

Playing This Animal Features Bingo Game

Each Bingo mat features a variety of wild animals from different habitats and animal groups, helping students notice similarities and differences across species. Animals are chosen to represent a wide range of:

  • Body coverings (fur, feathers, skin, scales)
  • Visible Features (wings, legs, flippers, etc.)

This game works best if you allow your students to use magnifying glasses to examine the animals and identify their observable features.

To play, give each student a bingo board and counters. Project the spinner using a document camera. Then, use a paper clip and a pencil to create a spinner. After spinning, have your students use their magnifying glasses to find an animal on their Bingo board that matches the selected feature and cover it. The first student to get four in a row wins!
